February 9th - The Sydney launch event was held at Cafe Del Mar overlooking the Darling Harbour. This was a miixer event which quickly sold out! Sydney was well and truly ready to bring the People Geek community together! This event really turned on the weather and the energized crowd enjoyed the best that Sydney has to offer from local oysters to bubbles and a beautiful view.
February 11th - This month's Melbourne mixer-style event was held at The Emerald Peacock in the CBD. Summer cocktails were served downstairs with a warm welcome by Didier Elzinga, CEO of Culture Amp, followed by networking on the rooftop overlooking the city with fantastic nibbles and drinks. High energy and buzz from our fantastic Melbourne People Geeks as always.
February 22nd - Sydney had a second event this month which was held at Georges Mediterranean in the CBD. This was the first of a speaker series bringing together a peer group of CEOs, HR Directors and other thought leaders, to consider a number of topics in small groups facilitated by the Culture Amp team. The structure consisted of participants spending 15-20 mins at each table. A topic was presented at each with flexing content based on the group’s response. Didier presented on what it means to be a "culture first company" and why it is important. Culture Amp's Chloe Hamman presented the role of HR in enabling an innovative culture and change (eg. risk taker or protector). Culture Amp's Katy Steven's spoke on changing organizational structures to improve agility, innovation and collaboration (ie. away from traditional hierarchical). And also from Culture Amp, chief scientist Jason McPherson talked about the value of feedback loops and helping organizations respond quickly.
Attendees really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the Culture Amp team as well as other People Geeks in an informal interactive environment over thought provoking conversations, wine and snacks.
